Collectible Gift Box Tosca Blue
Since 1858 the Antonio Mattei biscuits have been baked daily and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
Biscuit tins are traditionally used for better preservation of biscuits; The biscuit factory has been offering them since the last century, not only for storing biscuits, but also as reusable containers.
This cookie jar continues the series of tin packages conceived and designed by 2 talented Florentine illustrators, Simone Massoni and his wife Ilaria Falorsi, and represents Tuscany as we see it at the Antonio Mattei biscuit factory.
Starting from the idea of a geometric grid typical of maps, just a few iconic monuments of Tuscany have been highlighted. These internationally recognised landmarks stand along side the two main entrances of the biscuit factory, the historic Biscottificio in Prato and the brand new Florentine Bottega Museum. Finally, There is also an excellent stroller, Antonio Mattei, founder of the Biscuit factory way back in 1858 and for the occasion an almost involuntary tourist with his vintage walking cane in wonderland.
The blue colour is inspired by the splendid Tuscan skies, which can be admired from seaside, countryside and mountain locations as well as from important historic cities and small villages.
