Cod roe smoked according to the Petrossian savoir-faire. Maviar 1950® is an exceptional hors d’oeuvre, to be savoured just like caviar, simply placed on toast, or ‘Russian-style’ on brown bread or blinis.
Salted, beechwood-smoked cod roe is blended into a paste, then mixed with different ingredients to make a flavourful, luxurious cream seasoned with wasabi, to which added flying fish roe. With a smooth and creamy texture, the flavour is sweet yet also a bit spicy thanks to the wasabi, and is a beautiful green colour. Ideal for spicing up morsels of Red King Crab, or to complement a plate of smoked salmon. Perfect on toasted brown bread adorned with a bit of salmon roe, or just as is, on top of lightly salted crackers.
Discover our Red King Crab Merus meat of the Kamchatka Red King Crab. Petrossian has selected the fleshiest, largest, most flavourful piece of crab meat, also known as ‘Merus’. This is the biggest knuckle, which is the part of the crab leg that’s closest to the body. It’s an extraordinary product with a spectacular flavour that’s unlike anything else you’ve ever tried. Purists like to enjoy it on its own to savour its true flavour. It can also be served in a salad or in any type of warm or cold recipe that you can conjure up with your imagination.
You can’t have caviar without blinis and crème fraîche. Our light cakes and tangy cream have been hand-selected to match our sensational caviar.
Our blini – light little pancakes – make a marvelous supporting player for our precious caviar and fish roe. Our crème fraîche makes a fresh, light enhancement to roe, whether spread on a blini or dolloped on top of the delicate beads.
Nestled inside a magnificent presentation box are twelve 20g jars of legendary Petrossian caviar – four each of Classic Ossetra, Royal Transmontanus and Daurenki. Each jar is crowned by a golden dome that glows like precious Tiger’s Eye.
Serve one jar to each of your guests and bring a touch of sophistication to your next gathering. Twelve petite caviar paddles accompany the keepsake jars.
