Flor de Sal from Aveiro
Called the “little Venice of Portugal”, Aveiro is located on the edge of the Atlantic in the North of the Country.
Nicknamed “diamond of salt”, Aveiro’s fleur de sel has a very pronounced white and shiny color, of a unique purity, and also has the particularity of having a slight perfume of violets.
It goes wonderfully with desserts, sweet and savory dishes, quinoa-based dishes and foie gras.
|How to use||
Fleur de sel is a finishing salt, which is added to dishes as a final touch, to preserve the nuanced flavors of the salt and its crystalline texture. The fleur de sel cannot be cooked and must be added out of the heat, when serving.
